You can limit use of a queue to users or groups you specify. Users who aren't allowed access to a queue will receive an error message if they try to print to the queue. If you turn secure printing off, the user list is saved and takes effect once you turn secure printing on again.

Enable Security

Select this checkbox to secure an existing queue. When security is enabled, only the users and groups you specify will be able to print to this queue.

Require Password For Printing:
Click this checkbox if you want users to enter a password before printing.

Note: To use this feature, client computers must have the LaserWriter driver version 8.6.1 or Mac OS 8.6 or later. (This feature is not available for Windows clients.)

Add User/Group button:
Click this button to add a user or group to the secure queue list.

Remove User/Group button:
Click this button to remove a user or group from the secure queue list.
